Many families want to know if they can visit a breeder’s property before committing—and it’s a fair question.
The answer is: it depends on the breeder, and there are good reasons why.
Responsible breeders often have strict biosecurity measures in place to protect their dogs and young puppies from outside diseases. Because puppies have developing immune systems, limiting exposure is critical during early weeks.
At the same time, transparency matters.
Ethical breeders should still give you confidence in how their puppies are raised through:
- Detailed photos and videos of the environment
- Regular updates as puppies grow
- Clear explanations of their raising and socialisation process
- Opportunities to meet puppies at the appropriate stage, where safe
At Bear-y Cute Bernedoodles, we prioritise both puppy safety and family experience. Approved families have the opportunity to visit, meet mum, meet us and spend time with the puppies at a suitable stage—while still maintaining the health and wellbeing of the litter.
